Celia is attending this week long course in the French countryside, learning from working comic and award winning director, Logan Murray
The course is set at Maison du Guit, an 18th century ‘Maison de Maître’, surrounded by acres of stunning vineyards, located in the heart of the Gascon countryside in South West France. A beautiful location to explore and expand “different forms of humour writing and technique to help ignite your inner comic genius, formulate new ideas and execute these ideas in novel and dynamic ways.”
Celia is appearing in this musical cabaret show on June 21st at The Bulls Head in Barnes –
A themed musical cabaret show featuring the (still undiscovered) opera star Tony Moss together with Sarah Tullamore and Celia Delaney. Tony Moss is a TV producer, writer and performer who deploys his classical training with Richmond Opera while performing his own comic songs on the London cabaret circuit. Sarah Tullamore is a Paris-based actress, singer and dancer whose 2016 Edinburgh Festival one-woman show – ‘London – Paris – Roam!’ – led to bookings across Europe. She also sings with the jazz group Le Cinq’tet. Celia Delaney is a professional MC, after-dinner speaker and comedienne. She is part of a musical trio “ The Secret Divorce Society” who are taking their latest show “Till Death Us Do Part?” to Endiburgh this summer. The exciting cast is completed by pianist Charlie Standing
See Celia with her Secret Divorce Society group as they preview their new show Till Death Us Do Part? before hitting the stage at the Edinburgh festival in August. The group comprises three women in their thirties and forties who really are married with kids/married and bored/divorced and dating and it is that twinkle of truth that audiences respond to, along with that fact that middle-aged women (and men) are thinking these things, but daren’t say them out loud! Seasoned cabaret performers in their own right, the dynamic trio have now joined forces to create even more fun, laughter and intrigue on stage together!
A man is murdered at a wedding but whodunnit? Three women have both motive and means… and the audience is asked to choose the murderess in this original musical comedy about marriage, motherhood and murder. Celia, Birgitta and Tamasine – collectively The Secret Divorce Society – look forward to bringing their new show “Till Death Do Us Part?” to The Reading Fringe Festival in the run up to the main Edinburgh Festival.
Celia has joined forces with Tamasine Kimber and Birgitta Kenyon aka The Secret Divorce Society and they are taking their musical comedy show to the Edinburgh Festival this year. Till Death Us Do Part? is a show entirely comprised of original music written and performed by the cast and is designed with an adult audience in mind.
A man is murdered at a wedding but whodunnit? Three women have motive and means. They met at the clandestine Secret Divorce Society, which asks the age-old question: should I stay or should he go? Mary has the perfect family, but sometimes wishes they were dead; Sally’s wondering how to get hold of her fourth husband’s death-in-service benefit; and once-engaged Bobbi is now a free spirit but is she still bearing a grudge? The audience is asked to choose the murderess in this original musical comedy about marriage, motherhood and murder.
